I'm a true SoCal girl through and through - if you listen carefully, you can even detect hints of the accent from "Clueless" in my voice. Though I was born and raised in the sunshine, I've spent the last few years exploring other parts of the world (and finding that most of them are a lot colder).
After spending a year in France and Thailand I moved to Korea on a teaching assistantship grant. I' lived in Korea's 5th biggest city, Daejeon, for about two years now and shortly after that I embarked on a 4 month trip around Southeast Asia visiting Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam.
I am "outdoorsy" in the sense that I like to read the New York Times with the windows open, so if you're looking for stories and bits about outdoor adventure and nature - I'm definitely not your girl.
I am, however, always looking for new foods to try, interesting spots to eat, great places to shop, and hot spots for art, so if you're interested in things culinary and cultural - keep your eyes peeled. Now that I'm back in my southern California home, I'll write about my adventures eating (and also shopping) my way through the area.
