Munch India on Shattuck and Ashby is the cozy nighttime sister spot of the Munch India food truck. Using the foundations of traditional Indian regional cooking, specifically Mughlai and Dawabi styles, Chef Afroza of Munch creates an updated take on the classics, using only the most pristine produce and meats that the Bay Area has to offer. The result is a phenomenal menu that features dishes you never knew you wanted but now can’t live without - I’m looking at you, Rajkoti Para Sabzi aka eggplant, potato and zucchini, layered with chickpea flour sheets. Interestingly, Munch India is a “no cash” place and for the time being, only open for dinner service.
