Seward Park & Playground

This is a nice urban playground with a lot of swings, separate toddler and bigger kid play structures, and water sprinklers for hot summer days. It's located on East Broadway and Essex, where Chinatown and the Lower East Side meet.

It’s also right next to the Hester Street Fair, which is Saturdays from Spring to Fall. A lot of local Chinatown kids play here, and it’s right next to Seward Library, where there are weekly toddler story hours.

Try one of the many food vendors at the Fair if it’s Saturday, or grab lunch to-go or coffee at Petisco Cafe across the street on East Broadway, and you’ve got a perfect play date in Manhattan for mamas and bugs.
